A free, inclusive community event for families — hosted by an NLA-trained speech-language pathologist and a Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist (occupational therapist).
Come play, connect, and learn with us! Gestalt Gather & Grow is a relaxed, family-friendly afternoon where you can meet other families, let your kids play, and learn about Gestalt Language Processing (GLP) in a warm, no-pressure setting.
Every child is welcome — this event is designed for children of all language abilities, including those who are:
Minimally speaking
Non-speaking
AAC users
Speaking
However your child communicates, they belong here.
Meet the hosts
This event is led by two experienced pediatric providers:
Kendra Pinney, M.S., CCC-SLP - A speech-language pathologist who is an NLA-Trained Clinician — trained in the Natural Language Acquisition framework that guides how we support gestalt language processors.
Amanda Godwin, OTD, OTR/L - An occupational therapist who is a Certified Autism Spectrum Disorder Clinical Specialist (ASDCS).

Rotate through interactive stations featuring strengthening activities, sensory play, and regulation tools to support growing bodies and nervous systems.
Coffee, Questions & Kids
Join us for a relaxed coffee shop Q&A with a pediatric occupational therapist Amanda Godwin.
Harvest Fest | Fejervary Learning Center
Come join us at the Fejervary Harvest Fest where we will have a booth set up with our sensory bins, crafts and clinic information!
Davenport Parks and Recreation: Family Fun Days
Every third Saturday Fejervary Learning Center will host free family activities. Each day will have a special theme to make each one different and unique. We will be hosting family activities, local vendors, nature crafts, and more!

Come support local small businesses, Amity Point will have a booth with our sensory bins and temporary tattoos!
Also enjoy food trucks, bounce houses, face painting, ballon animals, and other wonderful small business vendors. We are also taking dog and cat food, and monetary donations for CARE ANIMAL-CENTER annual pet food drive, so bring a bag of food to help local shelter pets.
